Real Madrid are preparing to make a £21m bid for Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny to replace Sergio Ramos, the Independent reports.
It is not the first time that the Frenchman has been linked with a possible move to the Spanish giants after it was reported at the start of the month that he was shortlisted by new coach Rafa Benitez as a possible target for the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 29-year-old joined Arsenal in the summer of 2010 from little-known Lorient but slowly became one of the strongest central defenders in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, the Gunners have joined Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Southampton in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund defensive midfielder Sven Bender.
According to Metro, the North Londoners have already made contact with the German side but they are expected to face competition from Paris Saint-Germain.
