Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin says negotiations with the Saints are ongoing.
The Frenchman wants to leave the club to feature in next season's Champions League with Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur all reported to be interested in the player.
"The negotiations are ongoing," he is quoted as saying by The Guardian.
"It should be completed in the coming days, hopefully before the resumption of [Southampton's pre-season] training next week."
At the start of the week, Sun reporter Charlie Wyett revealed that the 25-year-old will be Arsenal's second summer signing after goalkeeper Petr Cech agreed to move to the Emirates.
"I think Morgan Schneiderlin will be joining Arsenal," Wyett told talkSPORT.
"He would be a good signing along with Petr Cech."
