Chelsea goalkeeper coach Christophe Lollichon says Petr Cech wants to sign for Arsenal.
The 33-year-old is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after losing his regular place to Thibaut Courtois in Jose Mourinho's squad.
He is a target for Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Manchester United but as the goalkeeper wants to stay in London, the Gunners continue to be strong favourites to sign him.
"The advantage is that Arsenal is a top club with a philosophy that pleases him and this is in London. It is a base for consideration," Lollichon is quoted as saying by Metro.
"He wants to stay in England but I don't know where are the discussions.
"The Premier League is his primary objective but it will also depend on the conditions.
"I think he still has three or four excellent seasons in him."
