Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool ready to make move for McCarthy

By

Everton face losing midfielder James McCarthy after failing to fufil promises over an improved contract, the Daily Mail reports.

The 24-year-old is a target for Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool according to reports in England with Manchester City and Tottenham also eager to sign the central midfielder.

Earlier this season the player said that he has no intention of leaving Goodison Park but important offers from clubs that will feature in next season's Champions League may tempt the Irishman to consider a move.

"I have got time on my contract here," he said in April.

"As it stands, I am tied down just now anyway. I am happy here. Nothing has changed from day one. I love it and I am still loving life.

"I have not heard anything. It is new to me if a club is going to come in and buy me in the summer. I have not spoken to anyone.

"I have not heard anything. The media has done a few stories but I am delighted to be here and I have many years still to come."
