Arsenal have been cleared to sign Jackson Martinez after Porto reportedly rejected a transfer bid from Atletico Madrid, Metro reports.
The 28-year-old will definitely leave Porto during the summer transfer window with Manchester United, Napoli, Milan and Atletico Madrid also interested in the strong striker.
Napoli first made an approach for the Colombian two seasons ago after they sold Edison Cavani to Paris Saint-Germain but opted to sign Gonzalo Higuain after Porto wanted £30m for the striker.
They might decide to make a fresh move this summer but having failed to qualify for next season's Champions League, it is unlikely that Martinez will accept the transfer.
The Gunners continue to lead the race with Real Madrid's Karim Benzema and Napoli's Gonzalo Higuain the two others strikers boss Arsene Wenger is monitoring this summer.
