New Real Madrid boss Rafa Benitez is ready to make a move for Arsenal central defender Laurent Koscielny.
According to the Daily Star, the Spaniard will focus on the defensive department during the summer transfer window and has identified the Frenchman as a possible target.
Koscielny joined the Gunners from Lorient in the summer of 2010, struggling to make an impact at the Emirates in his first season.
But he slowly became one of the most solid figures in Arsene Wenger's defence although many, including former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour, believe that he lacks leadership.
"I know [good players] are hard to find, but if you could get a Tony Adams – a leader at the back – a 'keeper and a central midfielder," Parlour told Sky Sports.
"I think Koscielny would be the ideal player, but it's probably not in his nature to be a leader."
