Arsenal join Barcelona in race to sign Sporting Lisbon right back

By

Arsenal have joined the race to sign Sporting Lisbon's Cedric Soares, according to the Mirror.

The 23-year-old right back is available on the market for £5m but the Gunners will face tough competition.

Barcelona, Bayer Leverkusen, Internazionale, Porto and Wolfsburg are all interested in the Portuguese defender who has rejected a new deal with the club.

Artur Moraes to leave Benfica

Benfica goalkeeper Artur Moraes is ready to leave the club this summer.

"It was a positive season for us," he told Record.

"I will now enjoy my holidays and then take a decision on my future. I don't know if I'll stay at Benfica, I will evaluate my situation in the coming days."

Maxi Pereira wants Benfica stay

Contrary to the 34-year-old goalkeeper, defender Maxi Pereira wants to stay at Benfica.

"My desire is to stay," he told Record.

"I will speak with my agent. I always said I want to stay here, I'm happy at Benfica. I will now focus on the Copa America and to be honest I don't know if they are any offers."

Ole John happy at Benfica

In other news, winger Ola John is also determined to stay at Benfica.
