Arsenal and Manchester United are ready to battle to secure the services of Borussia Dortmund's Ilkay Gundogan.
The 24-year-old midfielder is available for £20m with the Red Devils favourites to sign him according to reports from Germany.
Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke revealed that the club will reluctantly let the player go and that a number of offers are expected to be received.
"[Ilkay] Gundogan will be leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer, that is a fact," Hans-Joachim Watzke said.
"I am very confident we will see various clubs coming in for him.
"It has not been our intention to see him leaving. It was his ambition to move clubs. Therefore we agreed. We will sell him."
Bayern Munich and Barcelona are rumoured to also be interested in the midfielder who would however prefer a move to the English Premier League.
