Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina is happy to welcome healthy competition in his fight to secure a regular place in Arsene Wenger's team.
Poland's Wojciech Szczesny lost his place to Ospina at the start of the year but the Colombia international is determined to keep working hard to keep his place in the Frenchman's starting eleven.
Szczesny, 24, was one of Wenger's key elements at the start of the season and was not sorry for keeping the Colombian out of the squad.
But he is now featuring only in the FA Cup with Ospina set to be in goal in tonight's Champions League clash against Monaco.
"As a team, we do have a strong and healthy competition between myself, Wojciech [Szczesny] and Emiliano [Martinez]," Ospina told the club's official website.
"So that is something that inspires us all to always be there and giving it 100 per cent in training sessions.
"In a team like Arsenal and this level, you need to have very good goalkeepers like you have in all the major football teams.
"Both goalkeepers really need to be ready to react very well. You need to be that prepared and committed so you can continue to play."
