Newcastle United midfielder says the next target in his career is to emulate the achievements of his hero Patrick Vieira.
Earlier this year, the Frenchman reportedly admitted that Arsenal has always been the club of his heart and he could be a target for Arsene Wenger during the next summer transfer window.
"Arsenal made me dream when I was a youngster," Sissoko told beIN Sports.
"Patrick Vieira was my idol. I saw myself in him."
The 25-year-old did however say that his near-future objective is to do well at Newcastle.
"You will have to ask my agent [about a possible move to Arsenal]. For now, I'm a Newcastle player and I am happy at the club.
"I want to play in major competitions and I want to do it with this team."
