Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says he shouldn't have pushed Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.
The Frenchman was furious after Gary Cahill was not sent off for a challenge on Alexis Sanchez and pushed the Chelsea boss out of the way during the argument with the fourth official.
The Blues went on to win 2-0 with goals from Eden Hazard and Diego Costa.
"Too much importance was given to this story but I should not have reacted like this," Wenger told TF1.
"I always regret any signs of violence and I apologise for it."
Chelsea will face Crystal Palace away from home when the Premier League resumes this weekend with Arsenal to host Steve Bruce's Hull City at the Emirates Stadium.
