Roma coach Rudi Garcia says the objective for his team is still to finish second behind Barcelona in Group E of the Champions League.
The Giallorossi were three goals behind after only 30 minutes against Bate Borisov on Tuesday night but mounted a comeback in the second half of the game that however was not enough.
They next face Bayer Leverkusen away from home on October 20.
"We're disappointed with the result and the first half performance," Garcia told Roma TV.
"We struggled after they took the lead, they were always first on the ball and we failed to help the defensive department.
"In the second half we showed that we could have returned home with a point but we lacked a little bit of luck.
"But I'm happy with the reaction of the team [in the second half].
"Our objective [at this stage] is to finish second in the group."
