Roma coach Rudi Garcia says last night's 1-1 draw against Barcelona will inject confidence in his players.
The Giallorossi produced a very convincing display to get a point from their first Champions League game of the season.
The Frenchman was also full of praise for goalscorer Alessandro Florenzi who scored one of the most incredible goals in the history of the competition.
"It's a good result, a very good result," Garcia told reporters.
"Drawing with Barcelona is great for our confidence. Tactically we were very astute. We defended well and all the guys put in a shift.
"You have to put in the hard yards when you play Barcelona, you need to know how to suffer and be brave too. I think we could have done a bit better in possession and we might have hurt them a bit more on a few occasions when we had chances on the counter.
"I'm happy all the same though. The guys carried out our game plan really well. This match will serve us well for the coming games.
"All my players were excellent because you don't draw with Barcelona unless your 11 starters and three subs all perform at their best, but I wanted to give Alessandro Florenzi a special mention for making history with that goal of his tonight."
