Roma coach Rudi Garcia was full of praise for newly-promoted Frosinone after his side's 2-0 away win at the Stadio Matusa.
The Giallorossi were far from their best but still managed to score two goals, keep a clean sheet and move up to the top of the table.
They will next host Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
"First of all I want to congratulate the Frosinone players," Garcia told reporters.
"They fought for every single ball and showed great heart – if they keep that up they'll have a good season.
"It was a tricky match for us today as only three points would have constituted success, but we managed to do it. We scored at important moments of the match but we still need to improve on our shooting.
"We didn't have enough shots on goal compared to our first two matches.
"I'm pleased with the attitude of the whole side, though there's still some work to do in terms of our playing system.
"Keeping a clean sheet away from home means we've defended well and played some good stuff up the other end. The most important thing was to win and we've done that."
