Roma coach Rudi Garcia admits Lazio and Napoli are now a danger ahead of the last few months of the season.
Defeat against Sampdoria saw Roma's lead in second place cut to just one point after Lazio's away win at Torino.
And the Frenchman says the next Serie A game away at Cesena becomes a must-win game for his side.
"We produced a very interesting hour [of football] but we failed to win," Garcia told Roma TV.
"We didn't defend well when they scored the first.
"We just have to look forward, luckily there is another game coming up on Thursday, we are eager to play and win.
"We have to bounce back straight away, we have no time to worry [about the defeat]. On Thursday there is Fiorentina, a very important game.
"Our job is to win our games. We have to get back on winning terms on Sunday else the second place will be in danger.
"But in the meantime we want to make it through to the next round [of the Europa League]."
