Roma coach Rudi Garcia was upbeat despite his side's goalless draw at Sampdoria on Saturday.
The Giallorossi desperately needed to bounce back from the humiliating Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich in mid-week but could only manage a draw against a determined Sampdoria team.
"The table doesn't lie, facing Sampdoria is not easy," Garcia said after the game.
"They are confident and all players run and help the cause of the team. They are physically strong and they can achieve something important.
"I believe in my squad and one game [the defeat against Bayern Munich] won't cancel all the positive seen so far.
"I'm lucky to coach great champions and great leaders like the captain [Francesco Totti].
"I liked the attitude of the squad, the determination to win, it's just a shame that we didn't score.
"We showed confidence, we defended well, we only struggled once from a Sampdoria set-piece.
"I am satisfied, when the second-placed team plays away against the third and gives away little or nothing at all, it means it was a good performance.
"[Totti is tired?] No, not at all.
"He played a good game. It's not easy to perform here and the captain also did well in helping the defensive department.
"I'm positive by nature, I always look forward and my focus is now on Wednesday's game against Cesena.
"We will do our best to win. We have to play every three games, with Champions League games that take a lot in respect to mental strength.
"But I always see a Roma team which gives everything on the pitch and that's the way it should always be.
"We also need to recover injured players because we need to rotate."
