Maurizio Sarri: No goals but still happy with the performance

By

Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri says the goal was the only missing element for his side against Carpi on Wednesday night.

The Partenopei registered two very important results last week against Club Brugge and Lazio but failed to break the deadlock against Fabrizio Castori's men at the Stadio Alberto Braglia.

"We failed to score but I am happy with the performance," Sarri told reporters.

"It was the typical game where one single episode could have done the trick but having failed to score in the first half, things were more difficult in the second.

"We created chances, we tried everything to score but unfortunately we failed to find the back of the net.

"Carpi parked the bus but it was to be expected and games like these are very tough to win if you don't score in the early stages of the game."
