Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri wants his side to improve following Sunday's disappointing away defeat at Sassuolo
The Partenopei looked in control after taking the lead through Marek Hamsik but were caught napping in defence allowing Sassuolo to first restore parity and then take the lead late in the second half.
They next face Sampdoria at the Stadio San Paolo.
"We had a great attitude, we were likely to lead the match however we lost our grit and he have to understand the reasons, modify our shape of mind," Sarri said after the game.
"The team played as I want them to do only in some occasions, especially at the beginning of the match.
"We scored immediately after the kick off and the gap between two top teams seemed clear. Next we lost control, the pace of the game we were not able to get back the ball and this was our mistake
"I have noticed a drop of attention even in pre-season and we have to work hard on this aspect.
"We are still weak when we read strategies, Sassuolo are an experienced team that have already found their balance.
"We saw their strength especially when we lost control of the game.
"In the second-half I saw a more driven team but it's not enough we should improve.
"I'm more satisfied to have lost in the second half than having won as we played in the first half. I'm sorry for our 5000 fans who watched the match. We are at the very beginning and we can still grow a lot".
