Coach Rafa Benitez says Napoli's win against Chievo is a morale boost ahead of the mid-week Italian Cup game against Internazionale.
With Roma and Juventus dropping points, the Partenopei took full advantage to move closer to the top two but the Spaniard insists that his squad can still improve ahead of the last part of the season.
"It's an important victory because it's the third consecutive win [in the Serie A]," Benitez said.
"We knew it wasn't going to be easy, this fixture is always tough for us but the players showed that they are healthy after working extremely hard in mid-week to take all three points.
"Clearly, this win makes us aware of our strength. I say and will keep saying that we still have to improve. We can do it, taking it one game at a time.
"I expect the lads to take advantage of this win, starting on Wednesday in the Italian Cup against Internazionale."
Striker Manolo Gabbiadini scored his first goal for Napoli and the Spaniard says the 23-year-old can be an important asset for his squad.
"Manolo is a talented youngster who can give a lot but with room for improvement," Benitez explained.
"He can play in a number of offensive positions so this gives us plenty of options. It's important for us to have quality players like Gabbiadini because they can make the difference at anytime during the game."
