Napoli coach Rafa Benitez was visibly delighted after his side's away win against Lazio on Sunday afternoon.
After a disappointing defeat against Juventus last week, the Partenopei produced a much-needed win as they move up to third place in the table, eight points from second-placed Roma.
"It was an important and delicate game, we did well to win" Benitez said.
"We could have closed the game [in the second half] after having a number of opportunities on the counter.
"But what I said before the game is true also now that we won the game; it was a difficult game but not pivotal [for the title race and top-three finish].
"We have to take it one game at a time. After the [Italian Super Cup] win in Doha, this Napoli side is showing that it's a big team. We have to continue like this, focusing on upcoming games."
27-year-old Ivan Strinic made his debut in a Napoli jersey and the Spaniard was delighted with the performance on the defender.
"He did really well," Benitez said.
"It wasn't easy against [Antonio] Candreva but he did well, also when pushing forward with the ball in his feet."
Striker Gonzalo Higuain was again the hero for the Partenopei and the 54-year-old says he is a champion who can make the difference.
"Yes, Gonzalo is fit, he's working very hard and one can see his talent on the pitch," he said.
"He has to continue like this, I'm very happy for him, and today he showed that he can be a champion who can make the difference."
