Napoli coach Rafa Benitez was delighted with his side's performance against Parma on Thursday night.
The Partenopei were always in control of the game as they took all three points, moving up to third in the table and can now shift their focus to Monday's Italian Super Cup clash with Juventus.
"It is a very important win, we will now focus on the Doha match, our most important match of the year," Benitez said.
"I was a little bit anxious tonight because I wanted us to score the third goal. We could have done it tonight as we could have done it in previous games.
"But I'm satisfied with the behaviour and approach of the team, the win was never in doubt."
Asked about Duvan Zapata's impressive form, the Spaniard added: "Yes, he's doing fine, we all believe in him.
"I'm using him more regularly and I knew he would have responded well. He and Higuain are our two main strikers; we know how important Gonzalo is and Duvan is improving.
"They could play together, it's an option, what is important is to have quality players in the team."
Napoli face Juventus on Monday for the Italian Super Cup and Benitez says his players are ready for a big match.
"I always say the most important game is the next one," the manager added.
"We are fully focused, ready to give 100%. The lads are ready and I can indeed say that the Doha game will be the most important one of 2014. If we win we would start the next year in style."
