Napoli coach Rafa Benitez insists the defeat against Milan did not affect the positive attitude of his players.
The Partenopei were heavily criticised after a below-par performance last week but the Spaniard says there is still time to recover and finish the season in the top three.
"I don't agree with some of the criticism which followed the game against Milan," Benitez said.
"Things change every week in football. In Spain we say that man is the only animal who stumbles on his own rock. I'm staying calm, this team knows that there's a lot of work to be done and this is what we intend to keep doing.
"We are of course disappointed [for dropping points] and despite the fact that we deserve a better position in the table we are still close to the top three.
"Regardless of what people say, the group is united. I say that hand-in-hand we can improve, I'm convinced because this squad is quality.
"Then clearly, we have to improve, we know we could have had ten more points in the table but the lads know what has to be done."
Napoli face Parma tonight and Benitez says Roberto Donadoni's side should not be underestimated.
"Yes, it's true, they are bottom of the table but they produce good football," Benitez said.
"They struggled [in the first part of the season] but they are competitive."
Asked if contract negotiations are on-going, Benitez said: "At the moment the focus is on the present.
"I regularly speak with the club, with the president and Riccardo Bigon. We know what we want and what we have to do together.
"I want to win at Napoli, if I get new offers after ten years, then we'll see. But I can say I turned down two offers in 15 days because this is where I want to be, I believe in this project."
