Arsenal and Liverpool are set to lose out in the race to sign target Jackson Martinez.
The 28-year-old is ready to miss out on Champions League football next season after reaching an agreement to join Milan in the Serie A.
After a very disappointing campaign under coach Filippo Inzaghi, the Rossoneri are determined to fight for the title next season by signing top strikers Jackson Martinez and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
And according to reports in Italy, the deal will be concluded in the coming days.
"We're almost there," agent Luiz Henrique Pompeo told Calciomercato.com.
"We are very close to concluding a deal with Milan and there's a very good chance it will be finalised.
"We hope to give the announcement tomorrow or the day after.
"It would be a dream partnership if he teams up with Zlatan Ibrahimovic [in the Milan offensive department]."
