Goalkeeper Christian Abbiati will hang up his gloves at the end of this season if Milan don't offer a new contract.
The 37-year-old joined the Rossoneri in 1998 and played more than 270 games for the club.
He kept a clean sheet, on Sunday, against Torino.
"The captain's armband given to [Giampaolo] Pazzini was a gesture to wish him luck in scoring his 100th goal," Abbiati told Milan Channel.
"It worked, I'm happy for him. Tonight's game means we ended our home campaign in style, we won and played a very good game.
"I've always been available during my 15-year stay at the club, I'm fit and available to play.
"This year I never skipped a training session or an official game but if they decide not to extend my contract I will stop.
"El Shaarawy? I liked what I saw from him tonight, he played well and it's never easy to recover after staying months on the sidelines."
