Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri says there is still room for improvement after his side's away win at Genoa.
The Bianconeri desperately needed all three points to kick off their Serie A campaign and they didn't disappoint as they battled past Gian Piero Gasperini's side by 2-0.
"We've only been working together for 10 days and at the moment my selections are based on technical and tactical aspects, not squad rotation," Allegri told reporters.
"Leonardo had played every game this season, including the international fixtures, and I was concerned that a third consecutive match might have been a bridge too far for Hernanes at this stage from a physical point of view.
"Lemina put in a mature performance in a role I think he's naturally suited to. He's a very smart player from a tactical point of view, so hats off to him for his performance today.
"We've got time to improve and that's precisely what we need to do, because we didn't keep the ball well in the second half and were too hurried in our attempts to score a third goal."
