Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri says his side should have done better to control the game after taking the lead against Torino.
The Serie A leaders suffered only their third defeat of the season on Sunday in the domestic league but with Roma and Lazio both dropping points they continue to enjoy a healthy 14-point lead at the top.
They host Fiorentina on Wednesday night before facing Sampdoria on Saturday.
"Compared to our last few games we created a lot [of goal-scoring opportunities]," Allegri told Sky Sport Italy.
"We were not precise in front of goal and also unlucky. All in all it was a good game and we deserved a different outcome.
"We made mistakes after we took the lead, we should have played the ball backwards when they scored the first and we allowed a two against one on the right when they took the lead.
"Rotation should not be an excuse for the defeat. When you're in front with only five minutes left in the first half, you have to be patient.
"I don't understand why we kept surging forward so we have to improve in this regards.
"But I'm happy with the performance, we didn't deserve to lose. In the first round we didn't play as well as we did today [against Torino] but we still won. It's all part of the game."
