Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri was visibly upset with how his players conceded the only goal of the game against Genoa.
The Juventus defence was caught napping in the dying minutes of the game allowing striker Alessandro Matri to cross for Luca Antonini who kept his cool to beat goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon in stoppage time.
"We played a good game on a shocking pitch," Allegri said after the defeat.
"The positive thing is that they had no shots in goal. The negative is that such games cannot be lost in the last thirty seconds of the match because all 38 games are needed to win the title.
"You simply cannot concede such a goal with 30 seconds to go and the lads know it. It was six of ours against two of their players yet we conceded a goal that we shouldn't have conceded.
"We had an advantage over Roma and we let it slip straight away. But there's still a long way to go."
Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba failed to make an impact on the game but the manager is not concerned with the form of the two midfielders.
"[Arturo] Vidal fought hard, he kept fighting until he was on the pitch," said Allegri.
"I then opted for someone who was more fresh. [As for Paul] Pogba, he produced two-three nice things in the first half, tried his luck from distance, maybe he should have been more precise.
"But today's result has nothing to do with this, it's just that we lost our focus in the final 30 seconds of the game."
