West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic says his side needs a confidence boost after yesterday's 3-0 home defeat against Southampton.
The Hammers are 18th in the table and dropped into the relegation zone after losing their 5th game in the English Premier League.
Only bottom-of-the-table Sunderland has lost the same amount of games so far this season.
West Ham face Middlesbrough at home later on this week in what could be a do or die game for the Croatian.
"We are not the first or the last team who has been in this situation in the Premier League and most of it is about confidence, but the Club has the same players and the same manager who did good things last year," Bilic said on Sunday.
"Eighty per cent of the team is the same, and of course we can talk about confidence and urge them to be confident, but you need one or two good results to get that confidence and that's not happening at the moment.
"We are working hard in training, analysing and talking and it's good until the game comes and someone punches us in the face, then we have a problem.
"We were a little bit unlucky in the first half, because they didn't deserve to be one up in my opinion.
"In the second half we were trying to get back in the game, but we made one big mistake and they took advantage of it.
"After it went to 2-0, we tried to put them under pressure and had a couple of chances which were on target, but they were always very quick in the moment of transition and had a few chances as well."
