Mauricio Pochettino: Our feeling now is like we lost the game

By

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino was bitterly disappointed after his side gave away a two-goal lead against Stoke City at home.

Spurs desperately needed to bounce back after last week's disappointing defeat against Manchester United but dropped two points after conceding two goals in five minutes late in the second half.

"Our feeling now is like we lost the game because at 2-0, we played much better than the opponent and deserved to win," Pochettino said after the game.

"It was a fantastic first half but we need to be stronger in our mentality and in defensive situations because the way we conceded the goals and the chances in the second half, in the last 15 minutes, we need to improve.

"After the penalty we were a little bit soft, conceded chances and we need to improve in this area.

"Now we need to look forward and prepare for the next game."
