Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane was a happy man after Saturday's 3-0 away win against West Bromwich Albion.
One of the best players of this campaign, Kane's efforts were rewarded on Monday when the club offered a new five-and-a-half-year contract.
And the win at the Hawthorns was the best possible way to approach this week's North London derby against Arsenal.
"We wanted to get off to a fast start and get ahead in the game," Kane told the club's official website.
"We scored two quick goals and we said in the second half that we had to remember what happened at Sheffield United, we had to keep playing and try and get the third goal.
"We did that and in the end it was quite comfortable for us."
Goalkeeper Hugh Lloris produced two brilliant saves to deny the hosts and Kane insists that the Frenchman is one of the best in the business.
"He's a top-class goalkeeper," the 21-year-old said.
"I've said that time and time again. He's saved us on many occasions and he did it again at vital moments in the game. That's what you need from your goalkeeper."
