Manchester United are close to agreeing a fee with Inter Milan for Ivan Perisic, according to Sky Sports.
The Croatian is a confirmed target for manager Jose Mourinho.
The winger has told the Nerazzurri that he wants to leave and has no intention of joining the rest of the squad in China for a pre-season tour.
Last week, director Piero Ausilio told Italian TV channel Sky Sport 1 that the player is not for sale.
"It's not happening," he said.
"Perisic is training with us and so far we have not taken into consideration anything that Manchester United have offered us."
The Red Devils made an official approach to sign the former Borussia Dortmund man earlier this month but their £40million offer was rejected by the Serie A giants.
