Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has told close friends that he is joining Manchester United, Metro has claimed.
The Spaniard is expected to become Jose Mourinho's second summer signing at the club.
The Red Devils' opening bid of £52million was rejected by the Spanish giants but it seems the two clubs are expected to reach an agreement for £65million.
The 24-year-old has struggled to enjoy regular first-team football at the Santiago Bernabeu last season and with the World Cup Finals approaching he cannot afford to spend another season on the bench.
He will replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the United offensive department.
Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic and Internazionale winger Ivan Perisic could follow Morata to Old Trafford.
