Barcelona are keeping an eye on Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera and will make a move if they fail to secure the services of Marco Verratti.
The Paris-Saint Germain man continues to be at the top of Ernesto Valderde's shopping list but the French giants have no intention to sell.
The 27-year-old Spaniard was one of the best players in Jose Mourinho's squad last season.
And club ambassador at Manchester United Ji-sung Park was full of praise for the midfielder.
"I think he’s worked hard on the pitch," Park told ManUtd.com.
"He’s very clever. He is a great midfielder and, actually, I played against him when he played for Athletic Club.
"It’s really good for the team to have that kind of player and he is really appreciated by the fans for what he has done for the club.
"He is still improving, actually, and can be even stronger than last season."
