Journalist in shock claim over £100million transfer: "He will be a Manchester United player next season"

By

The Guardian's Barry Glendenning is convinced Gareth Bale will become a Manchester United player this summer.

The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer.

He has a market transfer value of at least £100million.

"I am convinced Bale will be a Manchester United player next season," Glendenning told the Football Weekly podcast.

Meanwhile, the Welshman has made it clear that he intends to continue at Real Madrid where he wants to win more trophies.

"I'm feeling better than ever and can't wait for the new season to start," he said.

"I'm hungrier than ever to win more trophies for the biggest club and best fans in the world."
