Manchester United have reportedly tabled a £30million bid for Benfica right-back Nelson Semedo according to the Sun.
It seems manager Jose Mourinho is determined to make the 23-year-old his second signing of this summer's transfer window.
The right back is also a target for Manchester City who are ready to challenge their rivals to secure the services of the youngster.
For now, Benfica have rejected the offer as they are demanding at least £35million to sell the player.
The defender enjoyed a phenomenal campaign at Benfica with Barcelona and Bayern Munich also reported to be interested.
If the transfer to Old Trafford goes through, he would again team up with Victor Lindelof who left the Portuguese club to become United's first signing of the summer.
