Sky Sports: Cristiano Ronaldo interested in the possibility of returning to Manchester United

By

Sky Sports has claimed this morning that Cristiano Ronaldo is "interested in the possibility" of making a comeback to Old Trafford.

The future of the Portugal international remains unclear after recent reports have claimed that he wants to leave the La Liga and Champions League winners.

The 32-year-old was one of the most beloved players during his first spell at Old Trafford.

And many are now claiming that he is ready to enjoy a second spell at the Theatre of Dreams.

Meanwhile, football marketing expert Esteve Calzada says the Red Devils have enough financial power to sign the player.

"If there is a team that can finance it of course it is Manchester United," Calzada told Sky Sports News HQ.

"Even though he would make more of an impact at other teams that don't have such an impressive commercial appeal.

"Manchester United will save the big salary of [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, they are back in the Champions League and receive the financial benefits of that. Definitely United will be in a position to afford this deal."
