Real Madrid right back Dani Carvajal says he can understand why striker Alvaro Morata might decide to leave the club.
The former Juventus man is expected to sign for Manchester United in the next 48 hours.
He struggled to enjoy regular first-team football in Zinedine Zidane's squad this season and with the World Cup around the corner he will be eager to showcase his talent ahead of the finals in Russia.
And Carvajal confirmed that players involved with their national teams all want to enjoy a very positive campaign to be part of Julen Lopetegui's squad.
"If I put myself in the skin of a player who does not play much and who wants to be at the World Cup, then maybe the option to leave may be the best one," Carvajal said.
"Or maybe not. You never know, but I always hope for the best for him."
