Manager Jose Mourinho has identified Gareth Bale as the one to take over from Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Manchester United, Calciomercato.it has revealed.
The Red Devils know that the Wales international is not happy in Madrid after losing his regular place in Zinedine Zidane's squad and will make an attempt to sign.
And the Italian website believes that Mourinho will allow the former Sweden international to leave.
On Wednesday, Ibrahimovic's agent Mino Raiola declared that although the player wants to continue at Old Trafford, there is always a possibility that he might leave for a Premier League rival.
"Oh, yes," Raiola told talkSPORT when asked if Ibrahimovic wants to stay at Old Trafford.
"He wants to stay in England he wants to stay at the top and if he sees that he can be a valuable asset for Manchester United, then why not Manchester United?
"He can be a valuable asset for some other top clubs also. But I think it is respectful to talk to Manchester United and to see what all parties want."
