Manchester United are leading the race to sign Monaco star Fabinho according to the Manchester Evening News.
The midfielder is available for £40million with Manchester City, Arsenal and Barcelona also showing interest.
The 23-year-old was one of the key players in Monaco's impressive run in the Champions League and domestic league.
In February, the player's father confirmed that contact was made with a number of top European clubs and that his son likes Manchester United and manager Jose Mourinho.
"We have been in talks with Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal & approached by Barcelona," he told French TV show J+1.
"We like Manchester United & Mourinho's work, but we have a soft spot for Manchester City."
And reports in Italy are convinced that United boss Jose Mourinho has convinced the player to join him at Old Trafford.
