Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is ready to approve the transfer of Adnan Januzaj to Sunderland, Tutto Mercato Web has reported.
The Belgium international is not part of Mourinho's project and reports in England have claimed that he is wanted by former club boss David Moyes.
Moyes is expected to sign at least three players to strengthen his squad and wants to sign the 21-year-old on loan for this season.
"We have a big club here we need to take forward," the former Real Sociedad boss said last week.
"We need to make sure it isn't us celebrating staying up.
"That can't be the goal. It's not my goal, that's for sure.
"It reminds me a lot of when I took over at Everton – the club was bobbing along at the bottom. So what need to do at Sunderland is we need to move up.
"We need to do what we did at Everton. We need to try and get right up the table and be more near the top end at the end of the season."
