Manchester United have have had an £85million bid for Paul Pogba rejected by Juventus, according to Sky Sport Italy.
It is the first offer made by the Red Devils to sign the Frenchman.
The Bianconeri have made it clear in recent weeks that the midfielder is not for sale although the Italian channel believes that an offer in the region of £100million will be accepted.
Reports in Italy have claimed that if the 23-year-old leaves the club, Juventus will use the money to sign Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain.
Pogba shares the same agent as new signings Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan and this could help negotiations between the three parties.
The youngster has reportedly already agreed personal terms with Manchester United and an announcement could be made as early as next week.
