Manchester United will make one final check on Reece Oxford on Friday before deciding whether to splash out £10million for him, the Sun has revealed.
The player is not for sale by the club but the Hammers fear that the youngster would not reject a move to the Theatre of Dreams.
In May, reports claimed that he rejected a new contract with the Hammers and would be allowed to leave the club for a fee in excess of £10million.
But days later he rubbished the rumours on Twitter.
Bundesliga club Red Bull Leipzig are also interested and they have reportedly offered a £20,000-a-week contract to secure his services.
