Switzerland youth international Nishan Burkart has confirmed that he has joined the Manchester United academy and will work under Nicky Butt next season.
The 16-year-old joins Tahith Chong in joining the Red Devils to strengthen Butt's youth team.
And he says the club's infrastructure was the reason why he opted to move to Old Trafford.
"Pure gut feeling [is why I joined Manchester United] - the other clubs were also very interested," Burkart said.
"I visited each club and analysed its infrastructure while there. I always knew: If I were going to move to a club abroad, then it could only be to England, my mother's home country.
"I'm taking a relaxed approach to it all.
"If it doesn't work out with Manchester United, the excellent training will still provide a fantastic foundation for launching a career at another club."
