Jose Mourinho will soon meet with Adnan Januzaj and Luke Shaw to understand if they will be at Manchester United next season.
The Belgian endured a very disappointing campaign last season as he was first loaned out by then-manager Louis van Gaal only to call him back during the January transfer window.
The 21-year-old will not accept another loan spell as he wants to secure regular first team football in the Portuguese's squad.
If Mourinho has other plans, he will ask the club to sell him.
Another player expected to have a private chat with the Portuguese is defender Luke Shaw.
When at Chelsea, Mourinho said the youngster's excessive wage demands was the reason why he did not sign him and he criticised the youngster for asking more than £120,000 a week.
Reports have claimed that the Englishman was not happy with Mourinho's comments and the two will have a private chat to clarify the situation.
"If we pay to a 19-year-old boy what we were being asked for, to sign Luke Shaw, we are dead," Mourinho said in 2014.
"We would have killed our stability with financial fair play and killed the stability in our dressing room.
"Because when you pay that much to a 19-year-old kid – a good player, fantastic player – but when you pay that amount of money, the next day, we would have had players knocking on our door.
"They would have been saying, 'How is it possible I play 200 games for this club, won this and that, yet a 19-year-old comes here and gets more money than I get?'
"It would've killed immediately our balance and we couldn't allow that."
