Borussia Dortmund have announced that Henrikh Mkhitaryan will play for Manchester United next season.
The German giants wanted to make it clear that the Armenian has decided to leave the club, which will feature in next season's Champions League, to play the Europa League with the Red Devils.
"After intensive discussions, BVB has complied to the wish of the Armenian national team member; to join the fifth-place English team last season, Manchester United, for the new season," a statement on Dortmund's official website said.
"Borussia Dortmund wishes Henrikh Mkhitaryan all the best for the coming season in both the Premier League and in the Uefa Europa League."
United are yet to officially announce the transfer but they are expected to do it in the coming days.
The 27-year-old will be Jose Mourinho's third summer signing after Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
