Manchester United have opened talks to sign Hirving Lozano in the summer transfer window, his club Pachuca have confirmed.
President Andres Fassi confirmed that negotiations are underway although the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement.
"Already there is negotiations with that team [United]? Yes," Fassi told ESPN.
"There is still nothing closed though."
Lozano's father-in-law was more optimistic about a deal as he revealed that the 20-year-old will move to Old Trafford after the Rio Olympic games.
"Yes. It’s all done, just missing some details and after the Olympics, the deal will become official," he said.
The Red Devils have already added defender Eric Bailly and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to their squad with midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan expected to be announced as a new signing next week.
