Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal says midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin will undergo a late fitness test on Saturday ahead of the home game against West Bromwich Albion.
The 25-year-old did not feature in the Champions League in mid-week but could be in contention to face the Baggies.
The Dutchman also confirmed that defender Luke Shaw is progressing well from the horrific injury suffered in Manchester United's 2-1 Champions League loss at PSV Eindhoven in September.
"There are no injuries, only illnesses," van Gaal told MUTV.
"Morgan Schneiderlin was ill. He shall train today for the first time so we have to wait and see. I cannot say there are a lot of changes for this game. Matteo Darmian is suspended so he cannot play and [Antonio] Valencia is injured.
"I would like to give you an update on Luke Shaw as his recovery is something I am asked about a lot by fans.
"Luke is progressing well and is doing as well as we could have hoped at this stage. We are not putting any timings on his recovery or a return, as it is important that we allow nature to take its course.
"Luke is working hard during his recuperation to keep his body in the best possible condition. He is receiving plenty of messages of encouragement from supporters, which I know that he appreciates."
