Manchester United are hoping to beat rivals Chelsea to the signing of Everton defender John Stones by offering Toffees target Jonny Evans in a player-plus-cash move for the young centre-back, Metro has revealed.
Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says Thomas Muller and Mario Gotze are both not for sale and will stay at the club.
The two have been heavily linked with a possible move to Old Trafford with Gotze also attracting interest from Arsenal.
Arsenal are strong favourites to sign Manchester United and Valencia target Ezequiel Lavezzi.
