Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has reached an agreement with his club until the end of 2020, according to Marca, confirming what former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand predicted at the end of last month.
In June, Ferdinand declared that the defender was using Manchester United to win an improved contract at Real Madrid.
And he was right since the Spanish giants offered an improved package, pushing the player's wages up to around £6.5m per season - after tax - plus add-ons.
Back then, Ferdinand said: "Ramos to Manchester United? It ain't happening. He ain't going to Manchester United.
"He's at Real Madrid with, I think, a new contract coming up.
"Maybe the agent is putting [rumours] out saying he wants [to leave] so Real Madrid come back in with a bumper offer and he signs on the dotted line. Happy days."
