Boss Louis van Gaal has warned the Manchester United fans that he could make no more offensive signings this summer.
Reports at the start of the week claimed that the Dutchman was ready to make a move for Juventus striker Alvaro Morata or Real Madrid man Karim Benzema.
But speaking ahead of Saturday's game against Barcelona, van Gaal insisted that his focus is not on getting a new striker.
"I don't know if I want to buy a striker," van Gaal.
"I have read in the media the striker is the surprise. No, that's not what I said. But you are saying that. No, I mean something else.
"[Sergio Ramos?] I cannot talk about these rumours.
"I have said already it's a process and maybe Mr Ramos is in the process - you never know."
